WoW Archeology Guide: Download ASAP!
Note: The part below is already outdated.
While searching for a leveling guide, I found out that Zygor Leveling Guide also has a WoW Archeology Guide for the first 3000 players to download it! This means, like me, you’ll also be getting their archeology leveling guide when you download their main WoW leveling guide. Click Here To See It For Yourself!
Zygor is one of the most recognized WoW leveling guides today. Since it was launched in the last months of 2007, I’ve heard many success stories in several World of Warcraft forums from players who have experienced great results with their guides.
By using their guides, I was able to level up my character to level 85 in just a matter of days (less than a week) and also my archeology skill to 525. I often wondered before how others did it. I often complained to myself why is it that I level up so slowly. Now, I found their secret. Ha! This is it!
If you have a similar experience as mine, you know what I felt before. Now, I enjoy playing World of Warcraft than ever before because… I sort of hold the strings! That’s just an exaggeration but you get what I mean.
OK, I’m gonna end my blabber here now.
An Unusual WoW Archeology Guide
Hi! I’m Erwin and welcome to WoW Archeology Guide Dot Net!
If you’re looking for a WoW Archeology Guide to level your archeology profession to level cap (level 525 as of right now), then I’m really glad you found my site coz that’s what I made this guide for. And I strongly suggest you keep reading. Because here, you’ll find my techniques on how I level my archeology skill fast and easy to 525 in just a matter of a few days.
OK, so how do I level my Archeology profession that fast?
I have a confession to make. I’ve been using an in-game WoW Archeology Guide lately. (Please click here if you want to see it. It opens in a new tab so you won’t lose what I have to say about it here. Once there, go to the Professions and Achievements section. There, you’ll see that Archeology is included in the Professions guide.)
Because archeology is one of the newest professions in World of Warcraft, there are not much guides out there yet so I hope you take a look at it.
John Cook, also a WoW player for years, has just finished his Professions guide and luckily, he made guides for Archeology too. After all these months since Cataclysm, at last, there is already an in-game WoW Archeology Guide which everybody could use.
His Professions guide helped me to:
- Skip the quests I don’t really need to do (before, I thought I needed to do them all)
- Level to 525 without the need for Alt+Tab’s anymore to search what to do next online
- Make the most gold out of my professions
- And many more
Some other things I enjoyed with it… I don’t have to think anymore which direction to go ‘coz there’s always an arrow (John calls it WayPoints) which points me to my next task. Plus, the guide also shows me (literally) the character I must approach, the beast I must kill, or the item I must pick up for my next task. Sweet!
I really recommend you check out John Cook’s Professions guides to level your archeology skill to level cap. Try it for yourself for FREE. You got nothing to lose.
Then, if you want, you may come back here and comment about it. I’d highly appreciate your comments about it.
Good luck,
Erwin

World of Warcraft Archeology Guide
For those who are not familiar with the Archeology profession in the recently released expansion Cataclysm, this WoW Archeology Guide will surely help you out. This guide is designed to share with you some basic information about this profession and how you can use it as you play WoW. Truthfully, there aren’t any end-game benefits with Archeology especially when the items that you dig up such as mount, pets and even toys don’t have power in-game. You are not really required to have this profession but if you want something fun to do, using Archeology is ideal.
In World of Warcraft, the weapons and armors that you can get are often bound to an account which is pretty cool. Think about being able to equip Zin’rokh or Destroyer of Worlds once you hit level 85. If you want to be able to do this then try to level up the Archeology profession of one of your characters.
So what can this WoW Archeology Guide teach you? Let’s start off with the Dig Site. When you start training for Archeology, you will be able to see various dig sites in the World Map. A small shovel is the icon used in designating a spot as a dig site. Depending on the level of your Archeology skill, the number of dig sites and their location will vary as well. The good news is that the dig sites in WoW are made specifically for certain players and if you are worried about competition then you can breathe much easier since you are the only one who can see your own dig sites.
How about survey and fragments? According to this WoW Archeology Guide when leveling your Archeology profession you will earn Survey ability. This tool can be used while you are in a dig site since this ability shows you where exactly you will find the fragment you are looking for. Once you activate this ability, there will be a small tripod that will appear. This tripod usually has three colors and these are red, yellow and green.
The first thing that you ought to do is to follow the direction where your tripod points. If the red color appears, you should mount and run following the direction before summoning Survey. The yellow color indicates that you are close by and if it is green then you are quite near your goal. Just practice this ability and you are sure to get the hang of using it.
When you acquire your first fragment, you can begin your research. Usually you need 25 to 100 fragments to be able to solve the artifact. Any excess fragments can be used to solve a new artifact. Although you won’t be able to choose which artifact to solve, most of the puzzles that come your way are in line with your profession.
If you want to speed up your Archeology skills, you should try to reach up to 50 points. By the time you reach 50, you can start solving the accumulated fragments to see what artifacts you have on hand.
Archeology in Azeroth
Even before the Burning Legion started its maniacal rampage across the universe, the world of Azeroth is already filled with mysteries. Along with those mysteries are treasures that await the stalwart adventurer and seeker. If you are a casual MMORPG player hooked in World of Warcraft, then you would probably understand the thrilling experience brought by the game.
Just like any MMORPG, World of Warcraft allows the traditional player to engage in various adventures, spanning many lands and cultures. It is true that there are many enemies lurking in dungeons, forests, and hills. Battles are normal occurrences for a skilled adventurer, and professions are other things that spice up the game. In the expansion Cataclysm, a new profession would definitely add more hours in your gaming time. This profession is known as archeology and it is mainly focused on gathering, not on slaying Kobolds relentlessly.
Is a gathering profession boring? The answer highly depends on your gaming style. If you prefer a high-octane and bloody RPG lifestyle, then archeology will somehow bore you. According to a specific WoW archeology guide, the main goal of the profession is to focus on gathering artifact fragments and making research projects. What would heighten your interest are the rewards presented for every successful artifact appraisal. There are many rewards and memorizing each of them would take some time. You can uncover these artifact rewards in many dig sites across the four continents of Azeroth. Keep in mind that you won’t discover an artifact wholly. This is where a research project maximizes the experience.
Once you discovered some artifact fragments, you can now start a research project in a dig site. Artifact fragments vary according to race, and you always have a variety of choices when it comes to the artifact that you are planning to complete. In a dig site, you will use a survey tool to determine if you are near an artifact fragment or not. It takes time to find the specific artifact fragment but you can master it with constant practice. Always remember that a dig site can be searched three times before it vanishes. A new dig site will appear somewhere in the region map and you can visit it to start digging again. This uncertain dig site appearance makes the profession challenging and somehow realistic.
A credited WoW archeology guide will definitely point you out to different strategic dig sites and the ways on how you can reach them. Many people navigate the lands on foot, while a large bulk of adventurers prefer using mounts to speed up the process. Try your best to have a flying mount so you won’t be distracted by the happenings in land. If you are looking for the best WoW archeology guide, the chance is high if you will spend time in MMORPG forums pointed out to World of Warcraft.
